Industrial-Organizational Psychologist

These are the psychologist that are found in organizations and utilize his or her knowledge of psychological principles to design assessment to screen candidates for specific job roles, vocational aptitude and preference, and also personality characteristics in relation to the job. I-O psychologists also help solve problems in the workplace and also improve the quality of life across stakeholders, inclusive work-life balance, workplace stress and satisfaction. They may also be tasked with developing training programs for existing and new employees in order to increase knowledge, maximize efficiency, and minimize injury. They may also help you assess businesses on an organizational level and look for new ways to lower costs, improve efficiency, and increase employee satisfaction and retention.

They also aim to understand employee behaviors and attitudes and how these can be improved through hiring practices, training programs, feedback, and management systems.
