We all need a safe space to experience our true feelings, especially among other people with shared experiences. Group therapy, also known as psychotherapy groups, are therapy sessions led by an experienced therapist and includes about 6 persons with similar characteristics and needs.  Based on the assessment, the therapist guides the kind of group and usually regulates who can join, along with when it makes sense to introduce a new person into the mix.

Group therapy sessions have been proven to be effective for a wide range of emotional, mental and behavioural needs. It can be helpful in managing a major life change. Group sessions are even more pocket friendly than individual sessions.

Therapy, also called psychotherapy, is an effective treatment for a wide range of mental, emotional and behavioural challenges manifested in symptoms that can affect our daily lives, relationships, communication, work, education, among others. It’s important to note that, group sessions are psychotherapy sessions offered to a group. Our support group therapy sessions consist of a maximum of 6 persons assigned based on assessment and preference.

In addition, group sessions are built to target a particular need area. Group therapy has been proven to manage depression, anxiety, OCD, psychological effects of trauma, stress, breakup, divorce among others. Sessions are also effective to help people deal with shyness, stress, and more.
